After having a roller coaster year of 2021-22 by the French defender and the captain of one of the strongest clubs of Europe, Presnel Kimpembe shared his future plans and had some light and professional talks with Guardian Sports after coming back to Paris for the training after a well relaxed holiday and now gearing up his team again for a more powerful season starting within a few months.

Q. How do you feel after coming to this pitch after more than 1 month?

 Honestly saying, it felt as if I have come back home. The grass and the audience stand reminds us of your original duty and gives you a refreshing welcome and the staff gives us positivity to do something even better this year.

Q. We all know that just after the league ended you were being called for the National duty, so what are the changes you notice in a national and a club team?

There are many things which can differentiated between a club and a national team. Players in a club team usually teach and provide ways to excel players in our training but in a national team players already know each other strength and style of play so here the main focus is on polishing the gameplay, techniques and carrying the national trust with us. Moreover fun and way of motivation is equally loaded in both the areas.

Q. You just told us that there is a sense of national trust and the national team generally focuses on polishing the gameplay so according to you what were the lacks which occurred this time during the Nations League which led to a downfall of the team?

According to me the team worked hard but there were some loop holes we still need to cover due to which the results were not in favour of us this time.

Q. The World Cup is round the corner what are your changes you feel need to be done, do you think new talents need to be scout?

Many of us think in the national squad that we need more practise as there is an internal as well as an external pressure being the defending champions and when it comes to scouting we have many young talents which are in our list and in our squads. The staff and coach will make them play at the right time.

Q. What type of understanding you and Marquinhos carry in the field?

He is a player who is well educated in the field and thus he and I carry a very mutual level of understanding when it comes to field and facing great players. We both are aggressive in nature when it comes to the game but we controls our aggression and converts it to a play which later gives us result.
